Sea Swim Practice
Monday evenings from January 26th, we start sea swimming training in the sheltered waters of Lowry Bay or Petone beach (watch our Facebook page for announcements). All club members are welcome to come along and practice sea swimming in the bay guided by canoeists from the club. This is a great way to build your confidence in sea water under the watch of canoeists and get some practice for those wanting to participate in open water swims. Matiu (Somes) Island Swim 2026 Unfortunately the swim is not able to be held in 2026. Other Open Water Events The Oriental Bay Challenge - Thursday 29th January and The Scorching Bay Challenge - Saturday 28th February. Check out the details at www.swimmingwellington.org.
