Sea Swim Practice
Monday evenings from January 26th, we start sea swimming training in the sheltered waters of Lowry Bay or Petone beach (watch our Facebook page for announcements). All club members are welcome to come along and practice sea swimming in the bay guided by canoeists from the club. This is a great way to build your confidence in sea water under the watch of canoeists and get some practice for those wanting to participate in open water swims. Matiu (Somes) Island Swim 2026 This iconic swim is on again for 2026 with a new format. We are excited to share that the event will now be run by Swimming Wellington's Open Water Events Team. The Somes Island Challenge will be held on Sunday 1st March 2026. Check out the details at www.swimmingwellington.org. |
